The import org.springframework.mail cannot be resolved

I was trying sending email in spring boot , however the import statement always says can't resolved.
Tried browsing the articles and blogs but they have exact same import as i have and it still doesn't work to me.
I simply can't figure out what is wrong with my code or dependency [ pom.xml file]

when I try to write this code

@Autowired
private JavaMailSender mailSender;

import is not available for this.

when I write this code

import org.springframework.mail.SimpleMailMessage;

this says The import org.springframework.mail cannot be resolved.

What is wrong with this ?

Can you try changing spring boot version?
try setting it to 2.1.3.RELEASE(i have given version and JavaMailSender works just fine) for example and check again.
